Callers
Central London Samaritans keeps information on the people who call us for the duration of the caller's contact. The purpose is to ensure the best possible and most supportive befriending by volunteers, and to remove the need for the caller to repeat the story each time.

The fact of contact between the people who call us and The Samaritans and the subject of their contact is entirely confidential within the Samaritans.  Each Samaritan signs a confidentiality agreement before being allowed any contact with callers or access to their data.

We fully comply with The Data Protection Act 1998.

Volunteers
All the information you supply to Central London Samaritans as part of your application to become a Samaritan volunteer will be treated in the strictest confidence. If you do not become a volunteer all information will be destroyed.
